Website Traffic Reporting
Many businesses have great websites, but have very little idea if their website is getting used. Google Analytics answers this question by measuring and analyzing traffic.
The first statistic is total visitor traffic:
- How many people are visiting the site?
- Are these new or returning visitors?
- Where are they located?
- How long do they stay on the site?
Next up is information on which pages get the most visitors. Some pages may get the bulk of the traffic, while other pages are totally ignored. This information may tell you something about your business (i.e. services of most interest), and/or something about your website design.
Finally, analytics will tell you how visitors get to your website… directly to the home page, or as the result of a Google search… and if they arrived by a search, what were the keywords they were searching on?
